Last May 21-23, IBATECH participated in the 8th CBRN symposium in Munster, Germany, presenting the results obtained within the QUIXOTE project funded by the European Defense Agency (EDA) .

QUIXOTE, coordinated by IBATECH, raised the idea of using cold plasma as a new decontamination technology for hazardous CBRN agents. This technology offers multiple advantages, such as easier logistics and more environmentally-friendly method than those based on liquid solutions, or the absence of dangerous by-products and the possibility of cleaning water-sensitive equipment. During QUIXOTE, cold plasma technology was validated by four European military laboratories by achieving the neutralization of real warfare agents.
