IBATECH delivered a new laboratory of biological aerosols to the Technological Institute La Marañosa, which is part of the Technological Institute for Aerospace Technologies (INTA) of the Spanish Ministry of Defence. This laboratory contributes to enhance the capacities of the institute in the detection of hazardous substances of biological origin.
The laboratory IBA-LBA 001 consists of a 6-meter container, which encompass a level-III biosecurity cabin for the manipulation of biological agents, a Dycor Technologies Cflaps device, a FLIR IBAC, and a large-scale biological sampler XMX. This equipment will enable to realize reliable simulations of aerosol generation and propagation for the evaluation of new tools and technologies.
